In the Khojbal Village of Gujarat’s Bharuch district, learning space interventions under Project Tarang focus on creating a child-friendly, functional, and inclusive school environment.
Key education initiatives include:
Repair and upgradation of school infrastructure to improve safety, durability, and usability
Access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation, and hygiene-friendly facilities
Development of playgrounds, sports areas, and an amphitheatre to support play, assemblies, and interactive learning
Digital and visual learning support through projectors and classroom equipment
Upgradation of the mid-day meal kitchen and lunch area, along with a nutrition garden
Gender-sensitive facilities such as sanitary pad dispensers to support dignity and attendance
These improvements have resulted in active use of upgraded facilities and a school environment where children feel safe, engaged, and motivated to learn.
