Palghar District, Maharashtra

In the Vikramgad block of Maharashtra’s Palghar district, Indivar Foundation supports community-based healthcare initiatives in partnership with Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Trust, a long-standing institution providing healthcare services to tribal and underserved communities for over three decades.

Key health initiatives include:

Adolescent Girls’ Anaemia Management

Regular screening, treatment, and follow-up for girls aged 12–16 years, combined with awareness sessions on menstruation, nutrition, and hygiene.

Mother and Child Health Care

Comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care, including routine tests, supplements, counselling, high-risk assessment, and strong emphasis on institutional deliveries.

Malnutrition Screening and Treatment (0–6 years)

Growth monitoring using WHO parameters, early identification of malnutrition, and treatment for moderately and severely malnourished children, with a focus on girls from tribal households.

Couple Counselling and Family Planning

Counselling for newly married couples on reproductive health, pregnancy planning, and family planning methods.

Community-Based Outreach

Delivery of health services through clinics, outreach camps, and community health workers to ensure last-mile access and sustained engagement.

These interventions contribute to improved maternal and child health outcomes, reduced anaemia and malnutrition, and greater awareness and agency among women and adolescent girls.
